Chilled beams operate using water-based heat exchangers and can provide both heated and cooled air. The system allows a flexible solution to indoor climate control with minimal maintenance.
We can offer both passive and active beams providing cooling and heating to a space, with active beams having the added benefit of providing ventilation. The technology is ideally suited to offices, hospitals, hotels and shops, providing a quiet, draft free, comfortable environment. Chilled beams are ideally suited to heat pump systems as low heating temperatures and relatively high cooling temperatures are used. The units can be installed in high, low and suspended ceilings and offer a large amount of architectural freedom.

The plenum brings air to a high velocity through the primary air nozzles producing a powerful pump effect (induction). Secondary room air is drawn in via the cooling/heat exchanger. When the air passes the through the exchanger, it is cooled or heated to the specifications of the room. The tertiary airflow (the total of room air and primary air) is brought into the room through integrated outflow openings angled to draw the air across the ceiling.
